The journal Anales del Instituto de Actuarios Españoles has been included in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR), the journal analysis tool of Clarivate Analytics, which presents quantifiable statistical data, including the Impact Factor, which allows to determine in a systematic and objective way the relative importance of the main international research journals within their thematic categories.

In 2023 the journal obtained the FECYT Quality Seal from the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) of the Ministry of Science and Innovation in its VIII edition, but it was also incorporated into ERIHPlus, Dimensions, or Sherpa Romeo, among others.

Since the end of 2022, the journal has been immersed in a process of improvement and efficiency, which was announced to be completed in 2023. This process has consisted of making it exclusively in digital format to make it more sustainable and environmentally friendly, implementing an Open Journal System to improve access and indexing, and obtaining the FECYT Quality Seal. However, the objectives have been more than surpassed with the incorporation of Anales del Instituto de Actuarios Españoles to JCR.

Among the improvements is the availability of articles in various formats from 2023, which has meant a sevenfold increase in the number of consultations of published articles compared to the previous year.
In the words of Mercedes Ayuso, director of the journal Anales del Instituto de Actuarios Españoles, "thefact that Journal Citation Report has included the journal Anales del Instituto de Actuarios Españoles is magnificent news that endorses the work carried out, and consolidates our journal in the group of leading scientific journals in Spain and in Spanish-speaking countries, and one of the leading journals of all scientific publications in actuarial science".
For his part, the President of the Instituto de Actuarios Españoles, Fernando Ariza, added that "intense work has been done to transform our scientific journal into a leader and reference in actuarial science, and I would like to thank the work of the journal's team, especially the editorial and scientific committees, who have successfully completed the difficult task of placing a journal with more than 80 years of history on the podium of scientific publications".

The journal, which, although it also accepts articles in English, is the leading Spanish-language scientific publication in actuarial science in the world, is published in open access with no publication costs for authors, and can be consulted at: https://revistas.actuarios.org.
