Research data availability policy

In order to allow the evaluation, validation and reproducibility of the research, the reuse of the data, codes and materials collected and used in the design, implementation and communication of the published research, the journal Anales del Insituto de Actuarios Españoles recommends depositing the data obtained from the research carried out for the preparation of the article in repositories of recognised prestige, preferably specific to the discipline, or of a generalist type, and in any case, following the FAIR Principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability), and preferably in open access.

There are a number of repositories for the preservation and dissemination of specific data such as: numerical data in the form of tables in Excel, Access or similar, images, photographs, databases, tables, dating, statistics, etc. Please note that each repository has its own repository rules, and you should be aware of its policies on content and collections, data and metadata, and record preservation.  If necessary, the re3data repository registry of research data repositories can be consulted.

If research data have been deposited in a repository, this should be mentioned in the article, in the place indicated in the journal's article template, under the heading "Availability of deposited data", providing:

- A brief description of the type of data deposited.
- The name and URL of the repository.
- The identifier code.
- The details of the licence for use and distribution.
