Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The article has not been previously published or submitted for consideration by any other journal.
- The article´s file is in Microsoft Word or OpenOffice format.
- The article is published under the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License.
- Submission of a paper to this journal implies acceptance of the letter of originality, conflict of interest and granting of first publication rights.
- The text must comply with the bibliographic and stylistic requirements indicated in the Guidelines for Authors found on this website.
- Each author's name is followed by his/her full academic affiliation, institutional email address, and academic ID (ORCID, Google Scholar, ResearchID...).
- The title, abstract and keywords must be included in the article, both in English and Spanish.
- The abstract in both Spanish and English should be between 150 and 250 words.
- Under the abstract should appear the keywords (3 to 6, both in English and Spanish) with the possibility of syntagmas (but without abusing this figure), separated by a semicolon and a full stop.
- The article must be structured according to the guidelines for sections in the publication standards.
- If gender has been considered in the source data of the research, this is reported in the text, to allow the identification of possible differences.
- If the article research´s involves the participation of humans or animals, the author must ensure that it was carried out in accordance with the WHO code of ethics (Declaration of Helsinki) on human experimentation.
- The Journal's Research Data Deposit Policy has been consulted and applied
- All tables, graphs and images have the title and authorship, or source indicated and are referenced in the text.
- Images or figures have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, in .jpg, .jpeg format or equivalent.
- The format of citations in the text and in the final bibliography follows the latest edition of the APA Style.
- Final references have been rigorously checked and only those that have been cited in the text are included.
- DOI references have been added where they exist and/or web addresses for references where possible.
- The article follows the format and template of the journal for publication.
Research articles
Maximum 30 pages (between 8,000 and 12,000 words) including graphs, tables and charts, excluding references.

Authors retain copyright and assign the right of first publication to the journal, which will publish the article on the internet on the journal's website (https://revistas.actuarios.org/index.php/aiae/index), under the terms of the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License.
- Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
- NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
- NoDerivatives — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material.
Authors must sign the Letter of originality, conflict of interest and assignment of first publication rights, which is available on the journal's website.
Authors are allowed and encouraged to electronically disseminate the post-print version (version evaluated and accepted for publication) in institutional or thematic open access repositories within the deadlines and under the terms established by the funding body of the published research, provided that they clearly indicate that the work was published for the first time in this journal, as this may lead to productive exchanges and a greater and faster dissemination of the published work.

Names and e-mail addresses entered in this journal will be used exclusively for the purposes set out in this journal and will not be provided to third parties or used for other purposes.
Anales del Instituto de Actuarios Españoles complies with industry standards for data privacy, specifically the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provision for "data subject rights" which include: 1. Breach Notification; 2. Right of access; 3. Right to be forgotten; 4. Data portability; 5. Privacy by design.
The GDPR also allows for the recognition of the "public interest in the availability of data", which is of particular relevance to those involved in maintaining, with the highest possible integrity, the public record of scholarly publications.
